Your Energy is currently investigating an area of land between Boltongate and Bolton Low Houses in Cumbria to find out if it has the potential to host wind turbines.

They are currently conducting research into a range of issues such as noise, landscape and visual effects, ecology and ground conditions, to work out how many turbines could be accommodated, and where exactly they could go. Their initial studies suggest the land could accommodate up to 8 turbines.

Your Energy's application for an anemometry mast has been approved by Allerdale Borough Council and should be erected on the site towards the end of 2011. They have so far held a series of public exhibitions to display the initial plans and intend to hold further exhibitions to show the final proposed layout for the site.
