My whole family support wind power. Whenever we drive up through Cumbria we always remark that there are never enough wind farms. For one they look beautiful on the Horizon and for two, we know that they are the UK's first hesitant steps towards reducing our dependence on carbon based fuels.
It's irrelevant whether you believe climate change is with us or a fact of human action or whatever...how about the fact that wind power reduces our reliance on fuels for which we no longer own the raw material...
Wind however, we've got plenty of wind...up on the hills above Keswick or in the back benches of Westminster...or within the pages of the Daily Mail and the back acres of retired colonels...who think they have a right to force villages to challenge the sense that is renewable energy.
